After years of research and design, World Champion Tow surfer Garrett McNamara has released his 2006 Signature PWC Sled. Designed to attach behind almost any model of PWC, this is the strongest, safest, lightest, and easiest to use PWC Sled ever created.
Originally designed for use in extreme conditions such as tow-in surfing and swift water rescues, the user friendly design of the G-MAC PWC Sled is useful for increasing the usable area behind your PWC for extreme and recreational users alike. Although designed for extreme use, it is perfect for recreational uses. Additional space for riders, carrying a cooler around the lake, fishing, and transporting scuba divers and swimmers are all great uses for this sled. The G-MAC PWC sled is an extremely effective means of extraction in the water.
12 years of experience using a PWC in big surf led to the development of this PWC accessory by Garrett. “It has soft rails, so if it hits you, it won’t knock you out. The thick handles are tacky so when you grab it you won’t slip off. At only 35 lbs. it’s a breeze to put on and take off. Designed to fit almost any PWC without cumbersome rigging or drilling holes. It also makes your PWC more stable in the water. This is the best PWC Sled ever created!”
Garrett McNamara has won the world championships of tow surfing every year since it’s inception in 2002. He developed the G-MAC PWC Sled out of necessity, getting a surfer from the water quickly with a PWC. More information about Garrett can be found at his website http://www.garrettmcnamara.com .
Tow surfing is the sport of riding waves too big to paddle into using a PWC and a rope to “tow” the surfers into the waves, and then extract him from the water using the sled.
The G-MAC PWC Sled weighs 35 lbs, and measures 62” x 36” x4.5”. It has 10 handles, and is made of tough, waterproof materials. Extremely UV resistant, it will not fade.
It retails for $899.00 More information and tech specs available at http://www.pwcsled.com- end -
